ECMS is Proud to Support Young Edmonton Talent

Gabrielle Després, one of our featured young artists in the pre-concerts at the Summer Solstice Festival for the last three years and a volunteer who has helped promote the festival at the 104th Street Farmers’ Market, is one of 24 young Canadians invited to participate in the Radio Canada television show, Virtuose.

The show airs on Friday evenings at 7 PM, and she will appear on the show on February 12, 2016.

On January 27, 2016, James Ehnes turned 40.

To celebrate, he’s throwing a super-sized birthday party in the form of a national recital tour featuring stops in all of Canada’s provinces and territories.

James will be joined on the tour by acclaimed pianist Andrew Armstrong with whom he has performed in recital across the globe and recorded numerous award-winning CDs.

We are delighted to announce that James and Andrew will open the ECMS’s 2016/17 Season on Wednesday, September 14, 2016.
