Widely considered as one of the premier cellists in the world, Zuill Bailey is a distinguished soloist, recitalist, teacher, and artistic director of several important festivals and music series. His rare combination of celebrated artistry, technical wizardry, and engaging personality has secured his place as one of the most sought-after cellists today. The program features Michael Daugherty’s Tales of Hemingway (2015), a concerto for which Bailey’s recording received critical acclaim and was honoured with two Grammy Awards in 2017.
Award-winning Russian-born American pianist Yuliya Gorenman has been praised for her “fluid and unpretentious technique, and for the lyrical honesty and generosity of her playing.” She has performed with orchestras and chamber music ensembles throughout the world.
