For 39 years Hespèrion XXI and Jordi Savall , the foremost viola da gamba player of our time, have led the way into the vibrant world of mediaeval, renaissance and baroque music.
Their program explores Istanbul, music from the Ottoman Empire in dialogue with the Armenian, Greek and Sephardic traditions. This program features Eastern instruments with kanun, oud, ney and duduk, santur and vièle à archet.
