Described as a “revelation,” the Afiara Quartet is quartet-in-residence at the Royal Conservatory of Music, and the winner of the Young Canadian Musicians Award and the Banff Quartet Competition’s Szekely Prize for best interpretation of Beethoven.
Its performances balance “intensity and commitment” and “frequent moments of tenderness.”
